Asthma is definitely one such condition that may result from prolonged exposure to cold air. When a person breathes cold air, through his nose or mouth, his air tubes contract, making air flow difficult. The narrowing of the air tubes or the bronchioles can also trigger other respiratory disorders like bronchitis and emphysema. This is because the air flow gets restricted.
